Click on the Startup tab and disable Adobe Creative Cloud. If it doesn't like that click on the Start button and enter the command msconfig.exe. Try visiting Programs and Features and un-installing Adobe Creative Cloud.

I wanted to see if LR 6 was worth it but in the end gave up ! Adobe are entitled to operate their own software as they choose but I also reserve this right & don't need to be 'sold' anything by being subjected to constant nags I did this some time ago & had no end of trouble when I tried to uninstall this unwanted software.

If you try to download the trial demo it insists that you download cc software. All you have to do is click on the buy button, Indicate that you want to purchase an upgrade, indicate what version you are upgrading from, and the price will change to the upgrade price.
